Designed and built in the US by some of the very best in the business, this preamplifier is not to be underestimated.
It was first released in the late 90s after nearly 15 years of product development. At that time is retailed for more than $20,000 AUD – this was one of the best preamplifiers that money could buy.
Spectral’s ‘sound’ is all about maintaining the purity of the original signal and in actual fact not creating its own sound signature at all.
We had this unit running as the preamplifier for our reference system for about a year and after a bit of debate as to what should happen with the unit…ie whether or not we keep it as a reference, we’ve decided it needs to find a good audiophile home.
…Just quietly Ben still reckons this unit beats our current reference preamplifier that is set up on the big system…
This is a serious bit of HiFi kit for an affordable amount and will see someone’s audiophile dreams realised.
