The Denon AVC A1SE was the high-end Denon receiver of its day. A lot of its bells and whistles including formatting and connection options aren’t relevant anymore BUT these units were built like tanks. Their power supplies are megalithic, all the little componentry within the amp is still some of the best out there and boy does it sound like a beast.
So maybe its strength these days doesn’t lie with its surround sound but as a kick ass 2 channel amplifier. And what a bargain it is if you’re after just a monster amp and don’t mind that it takes up a lot of space.
